Music by Elvis, Mozart, The Chieftains, Ray Charles & More
Thursday, December 18, 2014

Get ready to sit back and unwind with Michael Smuin’s San Francisco tradition, The Christmas Ballet.  A smorgasbord of sight and sound, this year’s medley promises to enchant and envelop you in the holiday spirit. With a traditional first half, Smuin’s strict attention to custom quenches your thirst for ballet perfection, while the second half lets loose with a collection of fresh, fun, and fantastical pieces that truly uncork the senses.

From the conventional to the unexpected, The Christmas Ballet is pure holiday delight, with critics celebrating how this “savvy holiday alternative has become a staple in the Bay Area since its 1995 debut.” – San Francisco Chronicle.

Join Wharton and Penn alumni as we gather to make new friends and enjoy a wonderful evening of the arts while we celebrate the holidays.  We start with a private reception and pre-show talk with Artistic Director Celia Fushille followed by an incredible performance by Smuin Ballet.  After the show, we’ll gather for a post show holiday drink at the W San Francisco’s Upstairs Drink Boutique (No Host Bar) to discuss arts, music, and ideas. The W San Francisco is located across the street at 181 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94103.

About Wharton Arts Interactive:
We are Wharton/Penn alumni passionate about interacting with the arts community. We support the arts by joining the boards of arts organizations, supporting them financially, and getting together to enjoy the arts.  We gather socially pre and post shows with leaders in the arts community and performers to discuss the arts, facilitate introductions, build our arts network, and most importantly to have fun.  Our vision is to have a connected network of Wharton/Penn alumni on the boards of all the major arts organizations to help each other to build a strong and vibrant arts community.  Our upcoming events include theatre, opera, symphony, jazz, ballet, circus, and more.
