This simply cannot be accomplished in a two-minute appearance on television or conveyed in three paragraphs of a magazine article. The good news is that it is a really fascinating story to tell. ....The chief economist of the National Association of Realtors recently published a book entitled Are You Missing the Real Estate Boom? Why Home Values and Other Real Estate Investments Will Climb Through the End of the Decade. Regardless of whether the author honestly believes this thesis or not, it seems inappropriate for someone with such an obvious conflict of interest to opine publicly as to the reasonableness of home prices. Turning to the NAR's chief economist for advice on housing prices is like asking the devil whether he likes warm climates.
