The Wharton Club of Northern California is proud to present an interactive program of refining your negotiation and decision making skills by someone who has spent over 25 years doing it.  Retired Presiding Judge, Honorable Jamie Jacobs-May, was a Santa Clara County judge for over 20 years.  Now, a mediator and arbitrator at JAMS and an adjunct professor of Negotiations at UC Berkeley, she was was noted as one of the “Top 100 Women of Influence” by the San Jose Mercury News.  She has worked on government contracts, trade secrets, resolving business conflicts, real estate disputes, as well as a long career as a trial court judge.  Her reputation is built on settling cases rather than going to trial by using emotional intelligence to find the quickest way to resolution.

Honorable Jacobs-May will be offering an interactive program on LinkedIn’s campus.  The program is designed to demonstrate the existence and function of unconscious processes and cognitive biases that affect decision-making.  She will help you discover these cognitive basis in order to identify errors in evaluating options and figuring out the best way to frame your negotiation.  Additionally, Honorable Jacobs-May will also explore ways to overcome decision-making blunders and find the best means to identify optimal solutions.
