THE BARBER OF SEVILLE
Gioachino Rossini

Love—with the help of a cunning barber—conquers all! In this brilliant, joyous comedy featuring Rossini's wittiest and most charming score, a strong-willed young woman outwits a lecherous old man with the help of a wily, jack-of-all-trades barber.

Resident Conductor Giuseppe Finzi leads a charismatic cast featuring the "lively" Isabel Leonard with a "radiant lyric voice" (The New York Times); Lucas Meachem, who displayed "vocal brilliance" and "theatrical panache" (San Francisco Chronicle) as Don Giovanni (2011); and Javier Camarena, praised by Opera News for his "exquisite finesse."
