Entrepreneurs Workshop: Incubators & Accelerators vs Doing It on My Own

Wharton | San Francisco and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati host a breakfast discussion featuring Canice Wu, President of Plug and Play and Renata Streit Quintini, a partner at Felicis Ventures.

ENTREPRENEURS WORKSHOP: INCUBATORS & ACCELERATORS VS DOING IT ON MY OWN
Friday, April 19, 2013

In the last few years, the landscape of financing alternatives for seed-stage companies has become lot more complicated for founders. In particular, the number of incubators and accelerators supporting startups in the Bay Area alone has exploded. Our speakers - Canice Wu, the President of Plug and Play; and Renata Streit Quintini, a partner at Felicis Ventures - in a moderated "armchair discussion", will address many of the vexing questions that founders and entrepreneurs must answer when launching a company. The core of the discussion will center around whether a startup can be better served by joining up with an incubator/accelerator, or by simply going it alone and building from the ground up with support from an experienced investor.

Plug and Play Tech Center is an iconic and long established global accelerator that specializes in growing tech startups. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Plug and Play's network includes over 300 tech startups, 180 investors and a community of leading universities and corporate partners. Click here to learn more about Canice Wu.

Felicis Ventures is a prominent and highly publicized boutique venture firm that concentrates on funding seed stage companies mostly in the pre-revenue phase. Since 2006 when the firm was formed, it has invested in over 100 early stage companies. Click here to learn more about Renata Streit Quintini.
