Smuin's Bluegrass/Slyde show made its world premiere in San Francisco back in October, and it's returning later this month for a short series in Mountain View. It was an amazing show and is really a don't-miss set of performances! We have a limited number of discounted tickets still remaining for this Mountain View show on Saturday, February 25th--make plans now to join us!

This evening's program will feature Michael Smuin's "Bluegrass/Slyde," set to the music of Edgar Meyer, a master instrumentalist and composer whose musicianship has inspired critics to call him, "quite simply, the best bassist alive." It is funky, upbeat and full of energy with that extra special Smuin touch! This program also includes the first of two Kirk Peterson ballets being showcased this season, "The Eyes That Gently Touch," choreographed to the tender and moving music of Philip Glass. And you won't want to miss the returns of "Romanze" (a collaboration with Francis Ford Coppola) and "To The Beatles, Revisited," featuring your favorite Beatles tunes!

You might be asking yourself, "what is Smuin?" Michael Smuin is the former head of the San Francisco Ballet and started his own company, Smuin Ballet in 1994. He combines ballet with many other dance styles such as jazz, tap, and tango, and they dance to modern music including Sinatra, the Beatles and K.D. Lang. His mission is to entertain the audience, and he's willing to use his vast dance vocabulary in any number of ways to guarantee that no one is ever bored--even guys are going to have a great time!
